Bernard Calas

Bernard Calas, Professor of Geography at the Université
Michel de Montaigne de Bordeaux holds a PhD in geography (Université
Paris X Nanterre, 1994, under the supervision of Prof. Jean-Pierre
Raison). He was appointed director of IFRA in September 2007. His
latest research works have mainly dealt with towns in Eastern Africa.

Jérôme Lafargue
Jérôme Lafargue
holds a doctorate in political science (Université de Pau
et des Pays de l'Adour, 1996) on political movements and protests
in Kenya and Zambia in the years 1980-1990. His current research
interests focus on the diiferent processes of political parties
in Eastern Africa and their impact on cultures. He is currently
co-authoring a publication on the political system in Kenya. Jérôme
is the resident scientific researcher and Deputy Director of IFRA
and currently acting as Chief Librarian.

Judie-Lynn Rabar
After graduating from the University of Nairobi, Judie-Lynn obtained
a diploma in Public Relations from the London Chamber of Commerce
& Industry. She has been working at IFRA since 2000, working
as an Editorial Assistant specialized in book production. Currently,
she is finalising her Master's degree in Communication Studies at
the University of Nairobi.
